Of course it does not HAVE to be Premium Hiking, there are enough hikeable trails in the world besides the certified quality trails. Premium is quite simply an offer, an offer for the hiker, a quality guarantee. One could ask with the same justification whether it always has to be a meal prepared by a three-star chef. No, of course not, but it is nice to have ratings to guide you.
